Another month

It's been hard to keep up. Lately I've felt the burden of social media and have been hiding from the world. I have shingles so it makes it easy. But for my own sake and that of my becoming-defunct blog, some reminders are nice.

Current placement:
Pediatric Gastroenterology Speciality

Next placement:
General Pediatrics at a small, chic outside clinic affiliated with UIHC

Current disposition:
Loving the markedly more laid-back pediatric life. And having weekends. Shingles was a beezy but I'd still prefer it over having a cold. At least I can function with pain, but not with congestion-headache-cough-runny nose-aches-pains-ickiness.

New things:
I went to an Amish/Mennonite settlement yesterday and had a wonderful time milking cows, feeding calves, riding tractors off-road, and eating all the baked goods.

The M1s have started and I'm trying to be a good resource/mentor for them.

I also recently signed up to do children's ministry at church.
