| At the Awards Banquet |
I did my best, presented my research well, and more friends than expected showed up at 8:15am on a Friday (!) to watch me give a talk on novel treatments for inherited eye degenerations at the school auditorium.
It was the finale in a summer that was filled with interesting discoveries, good laughs, challenging learning curves, inspiration for solving questions in medicine, and lots of hard work.
How great is that?
