Growing up

It still hasn't hit me that in about 2 weeks, or sooner if my mom gets her way (....noooo) I'll be leaving on a new adventure. I am eager to start my pre-professional life, but at the same time terrified.


This past week, I have been doing some major growing up. For example:

• On Monday, I did entrance counseling for graduate loans (I finally got my financial aid letter yippee! It did not disappoint. Iowa has been extremely generous, and I'm going to school for less than the cost of a UC!)  
• On Tuesday, I bought a new MacBook Pro  
• On Wednesday, I called MidAmerican Gas and Electric Company (you know, the PG&E of the Midwest) to set up service at my new apartment 
• Today, I got a Costco membership 
• Tomorrow, I am getting AAA membership and may get my car serviced

This being on my own stuff is getting more real.
