2011 in pictures

Just kidding, I'm not actually going to post iconic photos from every month of last year, as fun as it sounds to root through the 24,737 photos (actual number!) of my external hard drive's memory lane. Sorry if you feel cheated. But feel free to peruse my Facebook photos now that I've reactivated my profile...I will most likely still be MIA until after my MCAT--26 more days!

That being said, 2011 was a transformational year.

I finally learned how to take things easier as a second-semester senior with 9 academic units. I baked a lot of desserts and enjoyed the company of good friends. I started dating a boy. I graduated from college. I moved out of my apartment of two years and back home. I struggled with the transition to life after college. I witnessed my first death in the trauma room and grappled with tough questions. I baked a lot of desserts and had no one to share with. I started running more. I church hopped, joined a new church, and later went back to my old one. I spent the first three months of dating on the phone, long distance. I learned how to communicate my feelings. I started a post-bac pre-health program. I made some new friends, mostly older. I started observing surgeries at the hospital. I more or less disappeared from all social spheres and started studying for that pesky five-and-a-half hour test....

And now, it's 2012! Just like that. It never ceases to amaze me how much things can change in only one year. But of course, none of those things were ever really doings on my part.
