While studying immunology, I laughed unreasonably hard at 'RORgt' which stands for retinoic acid receptor-related orphan receptor-gamma thymus....uhh....seriously, who names these things?! And how is it possible to learn five thousand acronyms in one lecture? And more importantly, why do I care?
This is an actual sentence from our notes: "Types
of iTreg include TH3, Tr1, which are
CD4+CD25+FOXP3+, and CD4+CD25-FOXP3+ iTreg. The main effector CD4+ subsets are TH1,
TH2, and TH17."
Someone help.
This semester has some of the worst classes I've ever experienced: immunology, neuroscience, and the all-encompassing Human Organs Systems. Whoever said this was an "easy" semester of 22 units was lying.
Two weeks until Spring Break!
