Today I was affected by both the severe BART delay on the way to work, and also by the US Open traffic right outside my house. I'm not leaving my house again in the next week...except on foot.
Two pregnant women were standing squished next to me on BART
this morning. One was 9-months pregnant and on her way to the hospital.
No one would give her a seat. What is the world coming to? Have people no decency?! It makes me want to curse.
I learned how to turn down the volume on the phones today...right
after getting off the phone with a patient who shouted that she had
diarrhea and wouldn't be making her appointment today. The rest of the cancellations were from the transbay cut-off. It's just as well, we were short-staffed anyway.
