I lotion my hands every time I sit down to study. Luckily my lotion (which smells deliciously like coconut!) doesn't leave grease marks. Winter weather really dries out my skin.
So much happening in the world right now. I've been spending hours reading the news everyday. I've even started waking up earlier just to fit in my morning news reading.
I just made a Calmail alumni forwarding email address....it's basically my name at cal.berkeley.edu. But I honestly don't know how that works! I usually get my Calmail forwarded to my gmail anyway. I hope this isn't like that one time my Calmail got stuck in the inbox and then I wondered why my biochemistry professor didn't say anything about an upcoming midterm...and I found out afterward that he had sent us multiple study guides...and also everyone I didn't reply to in those weeks thought I was a jerk.
I debated between making garlic knots and red velvet cupcakes for my fellowship Christmas party tonight. When I went to the kitchen this morning, I found a large tub of peeled garlic and a garlic press. It was a sign. I doubled the recipe and now a puffy white dome is overtaking my stand mixer.
Thanks to D, I now have a device that allows me to read whatever I want! Hint...it's not a book!
PS. As you've probably read on his tumblr, a new activity for us is playing Words with Friends. It gets ugly because we're both super competitive, but it's really funny how frustrated he gets...
I'm wondering if I should ever get back on Facebook. Yes, I deactivated it for many reasons, and now I'm not sure I want to ever reactivate it. I like being more private and not having my information out there. Well, except for here, but that's because we're all friends here, right? And what is that new scary banner thing about? Reminds me of xanga. But I do miss keeping in touch with people that I don't communicate with in other ways. Hm.
