Google Reader

I started using Google Reader a little while ago. I really like it. B once told me that she reads my blog through Google Reader, and it updates her every time I have a new post. Cool.

I like it because it's simple, clean, and organized. The only grievance I have is, without actually visiting my blog site, you won't know that I have a cutesy color-coordinated background with three dandelions blowing in the wind. Your loss.

The best part about Google Reader is, I can subscribe to and read a bunch of blogs that I'm not personally connected to, and the owners will be none the wiser...

...Wait a minute. That's kind of creepy.

Today, I clicked (by accident) on that little link on the upper right-hand side that says "Show details." It brought up a little bar graph of posting details like how often, etc., among other statistics. I got curious about my own blog and added it to my subscriptions (who subscribes to themselves, really?).

And there is was. The same way that I anonymously read other people's thoughts, 45 people are doing to me. Does this include the 15 people who are subscribed to me through blogspot? (Hi friends, I actually do know who you are!) This will remain a mystery...dun dun dun.

Anyways, this was a whole lot of nothing. And I can do a whole lot of nothing because today I took a final and I'm done with my first semester of PHPCP. Whoo hoo! A pleasant surprise: my professor knew my name, although I've never said a single word to him before. An unpleasant surprise: he asked for the third midterm to be regraded, to which I said, What? Turns out, I didn't get the email. Because I haven't been getting any emails. Because I've neglected to check my sfsu.edu email since I made it. I logged in when I got home and the entire summer's worth of emails were sitting in my inbox. Whoops! I hate when that happens (cough! MCB 102 sadness).

So. What do I do with my ten whole days of break? Now's your chance to hang out with me before I start preparing for the MCAT in the fall and continue with my second semester of PHPCP on August 23...Whoops, I mean 22nd. AHHHH. :(

PS. Did you like that picture up there? It took me like, ten minutes to figure out how to draw a circle. That arrow there is comprised of three lines. Someone please teach me how to use Photoshop CS4.

PPS. If you clicked on the picture and are using Google Reader, did you trip just a little bit? Yeah, thought so.

Wow. I think I count as one of your anonymous subscribers; I automatically set everything I follow to anonymous. Thanks to this I discovered I have 14 followers. Never realized it before haha.

Actually you can use Google Reader and see your cute page at the same time! =D I use one of those "next" buttons that Google has so I can scroll through my subscriptions at the actual sites.

Thanks Erin! I'm adding a jump break now to every post.
