That's what we said

Here's what I wanted to say, "I think I need a break for a while. All this administrative stuff is driving me nuts."

Here's what he said, "What in the world would I do without you? Don't you ever, ever leave me."

Here's what I said, "Great, I'm updating the roster as we speak--let me know if you need anything!"

Here's what I wanted to say, "I'm wondering if I can come for eight hours every other week; the transbay commute is kind of hard for me."

Here's what they said, "B and I have been looking through our records and we wanted to formally make you a emergency volunteer trainer! We thank you for your faithful service of volunteer over 100+ hours in the ED."

Here's what I said, "I'd be happy to be a trainer!"

The irony is, I'm reading a book called Boundaries by Cloud and Townsend right now, and all signs point to me having no boundaries.
