Put on a happy face

The bus driver of the 51 today was really funny. Instead of having the computerized "Approaching Broadway and Blanding Avenue, 51 College" sound byte play, he announced the stops himself:

"Approaching Durant and Telegraph Avenue. Points of interest include the historic Telegraph Avenue, Bear Market, and the University of California campus to your left."

"Approaching Durant and College Avenue. Points of interest include International House, and the Museum of Anthropology."

"This bus will now turn right."
"The doors are now closing."

The girl sitting across from me and I shared many laughs.

ahhaah wowww.....I hope I'm on that bus with that bus driver one day! That sounds like so much more fun than a normal bus ride! It's like a tour! :D

AW! I was on the 7 one day and there was a lady bus driver who did the same thing :] she was so happy and pointed out things like a tour guide..including UC Berkeley campus on the right..and later quote "Peets, TMobile, and that yogurt place on the right" She also let elderly people in the back of the bus though there was no room so they wouldnt have to wait in the cold..and people who had to go on the last stop. it totally made my day <3

When I was in England, I was taking a bus to go to the airport at 4 in the morning, and everybody was tired and grumpy.

And the bus driver in a really perky voice announced, "This is a one-way bus ride to Acapulco Mexico. Sit back, relax, and enjoy your complementary glass of pina colada!!"
